Great news this spring...for the second time I've been named a finalist in the Kerrville New Folk Songwriting Competition! This is an annual contest, with 800 songwriters submitting 2 songs each...of these, 24 finalists are chosen. It's a great honor to be back in Kerrville. The two songs that were chosen are "Sixteen", a song that honors my youngest sister who died of a brain tumor at age 15, and "Tsunami", the story of a woman who lost her husband in the tsunami that struck Japan in 2011. Both are on my new album "One Fine Day", with CD"s shipping late May, official release to streaming sites July 10.
Like many of my songwriter friends, I've cancelled all live shows for the time being...make sure to like my official facebook page to stay abreast of live streaming events.
